REVIEW - L'Oréal True Match foundation

The L'Oréal True Match foundation is probably one of the most raved about L'Oréal foundations on the internet. So obviously, I had to try it out myself! I have the shade R1-C1 Rose Ivory.

First of all, the packaging looks nice and sleek. It is a glass bottle, so traveling with it could get difficult. Also, the foundation has SPF 17, which might be an advantage to some people, but keep in mind that it might give you a little flashback with flash photography.
There is a very good color range available for pale skintones. Because I am quite pale, it is usually difficult for me to find a drugstore foundation that is not too dark or orange on me. But this foundation seems to match my skintone perfectly.
The formula is very liquid and runny, but I quite like that because I find it easy to work with and blend in. I would say the coverage is medium, but definitely buildable. It gets rid of a lot of redness because of the yellow undertones in the foundation. This makes this foundation perfect for people who have acne-prone skin. The finish is a little matte but gives you a nice healthy glow. I have oily skin and this foundation lasts pretty well on me. Throughout the day I do notice a little shine, but a quick touch up with some powder and it's all gone!

The L'Oréal True Match foundation retails for $10.95.

REVIEW - The Body Shop Skin Primer Matte It

I picked up the The Body Shop Skin Primer Matte It because I have oily skin that needs a good primer to keep it shine-free and to make my makeup last. This primer sounded like a good option for me. It claims to absorb oils on the skin and create a smooth base for foundation.

The primer feels very slippery and really has that silicone feeling to it. It does make my skin look matte at first, but my foundation looks very shiny throughout the day, no matter what foundation I use on top of it. I don't really notice a huge difference when it comes to applying my makeup either. I do feel like it kind of smoothes out the fine lines, but nothing out of the ordinary. My skin also feels quite slippery. It's almost as if I can't really get it to blend into my skin.
To me this primer is okay, I don't hate it and I still use it, but I do think there are way better options on the market in the same price range. For what this primer does I think the price is a bit too high. Obviously everyone has different skin, so just because this isn't my holy grail primer, doesn't mean it can't be yours!

The Body Shop Skin Primer Matte It retails for $15.

REVIEW - Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick 402 Adrienne

One of my favorite (but also most expensive) lipsticks of all time is the Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in the color 402 Adrienne. It's a beautiful color that's perfect for everyday wear. The color is nude, but on the brown side with a hint of peach running through it and it leaves a bit of a glossy finish on the lips. This color will look beautiful on a wide range of skintones which is always a big plus!

The formula itself is very creamy and feels hydrating. The lipstick glides on smoothly kind of like a lip balm, but with the pigmentation and look of a lipstick. On me this lipstick is very longlasting. After a while the shine wears off a bit, but you're still left with a beautiful stain of color on the lips.

The packaging is very beautiful. It looks really sleek and elegant with the black and gold details and the white Chanel logo on top.

The Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks retail for $36.

REVIEW - Lush Bubblegum lip scrub

Hi!
Today's post is all about the Lush Bubblegum lip scrub. My lips are very dry and chapped, so I've wanted to try this out for quite a while. But as it is $9.95, the price had always kind of kept me from actually buying it. But about a month ago I gave in and decided to get it. So here's what I think of it!

How to use
All you have to do is take a little bit of the scrub on your finger and gently exfoliate your lips. If you want, you can then wash it off with water. But the best part about this lip scrub is that you can just lick it off your lips, because it is completely edible. After removing it your lips will be left with an oily residue which leaves your lips moisturised.

Worth it?
The lip scrub has a very sweet scent (which I really like) and has a really nice taste as well. It comes in a very small pot (25g) but it will last you absolutely ages because of the small amount you need. I've had this for about a month I think, and it still pretty much looks like a brand new one! I love using this before applying my lipstick, because it will remove the dead skin and makes your lips feel smoother and refreshed, which makes for a perfect lipstick base! I'm so glad I got this as I get a ton of use out of it! For my dry, chapped lips, it is definitely a lip saver!

Have you tried any of the Lush lip scrubs? Let me know!

My top 3 Revlon nail polishes - Reviews + Swatches!

One of my favorite nail polish brands is definitely Revlon. I love their formula, the opacity and the wide range of beautiful colors they have. Because I've used quite a lot of their polishes and I always get lots of compliments while wearing them, I thought it'd be nice to narrow down my favorite Revlon polishes and make a top 3!

85 Minted
Revlon's nail enamel in the color 85 Minted is a beautiful mint color. When I applied the first layer I was quite dissappointed if I'm completely honest. The formula was a little bit too thin for my liking and it applied quite streaky. The second layer however looked amazing. It seemed to really even out the polish and the color gets perfectly opaque and leaves a nice shine. It also dries very quickly and does not chip fast on me!

281 Classy
Revlon's nail enamel in the color 281 Classy is a gorgeous peachy blush/nude color, which is one of those colors that just looks good and goes with every out
fit. Again, the formula is on the thin side, but apply two layers and it looks beautiful! Like the name suggests; this color looks beautiful and very classy! ;)

310 Timeless
Still looking for that perfect grey nail polish that is not too dark and has no shimmers at all, but you can't seem to find it? Well here it is! This is my favorite Revlon nail polish of all time! It's so beautiful, classy and versatile and I just love this kind of grey color on the nails. However, it's only for those of you who don't mind applying a second coat, because the first one looks absolutely terrible to be honest. Way worse than the first coat looks with the two polishes mentioned above in my opinion. But again, the second coat looks beautiful!

I know I've been repeating myself quite a bit while discussing these three polishes by pretty much saying the same things about the first and second coats but I wanted to put it out there because I have not experienced this with all Revlon polishes I've tried, so I wanted to give you my honest thoughts about them! Still I love these colors and will continue wearing them loads on my nails! Do you have a favorite Revlon nail polish? Let me know!
